This month, Sources of Strength had the honor of leading three powerful sessions at the American Association of Suicidology Conference in Columbus, Ohio, where thought leaders, practitioners, and researchers gathered to advance suicide prevention efforts nationwide.
We kicked off with a 4-hour Workplace Wellness Training that participants called “the best session they had attended.”The session provided space for connection, reflection, and practical tools to support resilience and wellbeing in high-stress environments. For organizations looking to strengthen staff wellness, this training is a great place to start. Whether in education, healthcare, or corporate settings, we offer tailored options to help teams thrive.
Our Peer Leader Panel featured incredible youth and Adult Advisors from one of our partner schools in Ohio, sharing firsthand stories of the impact peer-led prevention can have in schools. Their voices showcased the depth of the Sources of Strength approach—building genuine relationships between students and caring adults, and equipping young leaders to foster hope, help, and strength. For schools and districts exploring how to amplify youth leadership and connection, our Secondary Program provides proven tools to bring this model to life.
Finally, we joined our research partners to present compelling new findings that continue to demonstrate the measurable impact of the Sources of Strength model. From reduced suicide attempts to increased help-seeking behaviors, the data is clear—upstream prevention works. If you’re seeking evidence-based solutions for your school, workplace, or community, now is the time to explore how Sources of Strength can support your goals.
