Lesson Slide Decks

One of the most common requests we receive is for slide decks to accompany Sources of Strength Elementary lessons. The slide decks you’ll find here are early drafts; they reflect the intended content but will be more polished and professional in their final versions. For example, you may see some black and white illustrations that our graphic designer is currently working on turning into full color images.
Additionally, we wanted to give you a sense of what slide decks could look like while not making it too big of a lift for you. Here, you will find slide decks for 12 Kindergarten lessons (four per unit), as well as one slide deck from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade each, to give you a sense of what the slides may look like for different grade levels. We have also included a PDF of each lesson represented, so you can follow along as you review the slides.
Our hope is that these slides will support the facilitation of the lessons with less reliance on the use of the curriculum book itself. We are also aiming to have the slides support the human connection and interaction amongst students and staff and are not just adding more screen time or distractions into the lessons itself.

Lesson Extensions
As you know, each non-Celebration Lesson in the curricula includes nine categories of Lesson Extensions to facilitate ongoing learning beyond the lessons. In an effort to make the extensions more accessible and user-friendly, our “Elementary Plus” hub will include ready-to-use Extension Resources to facilitate the activity suggestions, as well as additional in-class and home Extensions.
Here, you’ll find a few Lesson Extension Resources for the Kindergarten Curriculum, which we hope will give you an idea of what these resources could look like for other grades as well.

Video Resources
Finally, we have examples of several video resources that we are curious to receive feedback on. Here, you’ll find three Game demonstration videos, as well as a Talking Circle demonstration video. Each video includes a written section at the end with some extra context.
